They were selected for showing dedication to Mechanics for Africa through their work as student guards
especially during holidays when they could have gone home to rest. Below are some words that they had
to share.
Wisdom Ngoma (on the left in the picture) : Mechanincs for Africa has helped me to know who I am
and discover my God-given purpose. I do everything given to me to the glory of God. Working as a
student God has given me the opportunity to serve the college with dignity and honor. Being a responsible and hard-working student is the only way in which I can show appreciation to the college for
the role it is playing in my life.
Misheck Katuta (on the right in the picture) : Being a student Guard has provided a lot of possibilities
for me. Firstly it has been a means of raising half of my fees and this has lifted up the burden of spending
big amounts that I cant afford for college education. Secondly, it has given me the opportunity to catch up with my studies. Being at the gate allowed me to have enough time to do a bit of reading as I stayed alert on the job. I believe working as a student God is a very good opportunity.
