Each term at Mechanics for Africa begins with Seminar Week—a deliberate break from normal classes designed to cover the skills and experiences that fall outside the core syllabus but are vital for life and work.
As part of last week’s programme, Year 2 Clerical Operations students took part in First Aid training led by Mr Chenda. The session was hands-on, engaging, and confidence-building—showing students how to respond effectively in emergencies both inside and outside the workplace.
By gaining this competence, they’re not only better prepared to keep colleagues and communities safe, but also bringing a practical skill that future employers will appreciate—one that could make all the difference when seconds count.
