As well as receiving support from many individual donors, all of us at Mechanics for Africa would like to thank these organisations for their generous support for our college, workshops and students.

Eden Motor Group

Under the leadership of Graeme Potts, Eden Motors has grown to over 20 dealerships across the south of the UK and along with Vauxhall, Eden now represent Mazda, Hyundai, Peugeot, Suzuki, MG and Fiat in sales (plus many more brands at their servicing franchises).

Graeme Potts and Eden have made donations of workshop equipment to MfA. In 2020, Eden Motor Group has covered the entire cost of midday meals at the college for all students and staff.

The Beit Trust

The Beit Trust was established in 1906 by the Will of Alfred Beit, a financier, philanthropist and director of the British South Africa Company.  On his death in 1906 he left a substantial legacy to a wide range of charitable causes.

The cost of many of MfA’s buildings, including the main hall, two of our workshops and three of our classrooms have been covered by grants from the Beit Trust.

Haynes

In the workshop and college at MfA we daily use Haynes manuals to assist with the information we need to repair faults and ensure good practice.

Haynes donated a large shipment of books in 2015, which have been invaluable and ensure that we do the right repair and in a reasonable time.
