Ever seen a mechanic student weave through a ‘bamboo forest ‘ with an “L” on the bonnet? That’s exam week at MfA! Our students don’t just learn to fix engines – they learn to drive them safely too.
Because driving school fees in Zambia can be steeper than a hill start, we build our own hands‑on driving lessons right here on campus. This week’s practice exam meant dodging potholes, respecting road signs, and keeping a safe distance from the trees (no trees were harmed in the making of this video!).
Learning to drive is serious business… but we add a little fun too! And thanks to our amazing supporters, our students graduate as qualified mechanics and confident, responsible drivers – ready to road‑test the vehicles they repair and proud to put their skills to work.
Watch the video to see our training in action and cheer them on!
