In Zambia, most vehicles are second-hand imports from Japan, and the road network places enormous strain on them. The demand for repairs is constant, but for many graduates, the high cost of a toolbox — around K5,000–K6,000 (roughly £150–£180 / $180–$220) — puts that opportunity out of reach.
Jasper’s story shows the difference a toolbox makes. At work, it allows him to contribute fully. Beyond his job, it gives him confidence and flexibility to take on additional repairs in his community.
