It’s not every day you see a mechanic in a smart shirt — explaining rack and pinion steering from a PowerPoint instead of their usual workshop gear under a vehicle. But that’s exactly what this week at MFA looked like.
Our students worked in groups to research and present topics they’ve already covered in class. It’s revision, yes — but it’s also so much more.
It’s about building confidence. Learning to communicate clearly. Standing in front of others and owning what you know.
Because here’s the truth: a good mechanic doesn’t just fix the problem — they know how to explain it clearly, respectfully, and with confidence. That’s what builds trust. That’s what builds reputation.
And yes… we expect them to look sharp too. PPE has its place — but so does a clean collar and a well-pressed shirt!
We’re proud of our young people — not just for what they know, but for who they’re becoming.
